Anyone here running sonic tuning HID kits?

I have a b6 s4 and when I tried to install the 3000k HID kit from sonictuning along with their cancellers, it didnt work. The fogs came on for a few seconds and then shuts off. I have returned the kit to them for testing as I cannot do anything to get it to work.

Does anyone have it successfully installed in B6 S4?

    Thanks

But to help, on the DDM kits, you need to reverse the polarity on the fogs. So that means you need to cut the wire and reverse them. I'd also take the error eliminators out b/c that's just an added step in diagnosing them. Get them running, and if you are getting bulb out errors, then plug them in and see if they're working.

    Basically I'd say:
    1)remove error eliminators and try
2)If they're still not working, then you'll probably need to try reversing the polarity (which may mean you can't return, so your risk). If you don't want to do that, then you can return and get the DDM and people will be able to provide much better support.
3)If they're working with the reversed polarity but they throw an error (some do, some don't, haven't really seen a consensus on which models do and don't, my 2005.5 didn't need them), try the error cancelers. They should still work, but if not you may need to play with the polarity at that point again.

I would highly suggest just getting them working without the code eliminators though so that you can at least know what works and what doesn't. Also, I'm sure you're well aware, but make sure you don't ever touch the bulb part with your hands/fingers. The slight grease can cause premature failure and even to explode (timeframe can be almost instant to running for while but then going out).

I have the DDM HID fogs and I didn't have to reverse polarity or to cut/modify anything.

I've had mine for over 2 years now with no problems... Well one ballast did burn out within 24hrs of initial installation. After a going back and forth with DDM for a while they sent me a new set + paid for shipping both ways

^^ search around some, you'll see it's a common issue. Originally they were fine and it wasn't an issue, then the supplier for DDM apparently changed something, and DDM even admits that it's a problem that is really only solved by reversing the polarity. That's why I brought it up. DDM was trying to change parts supplier, or get their supplier to change, so the issue wouldn't continue.

I wasn't saying that this was definitely the case with his, just that there was a decent chance they could be having the same issues as the DDM ones. Depending how long ago you bought your DDM lights, they could have been fine, after that date, most have had to reverse the polarity.

IIRC, it was mostly only B7's that had the fog out warning problem. Some of the later B6's did too, but from what I've gathered 04's didn't need the code eliminators
