As documented in another post I cannot start the car. Did the starter check and nothing. I did pull the clutch switch to check that too and cannot recall which way to twist to lock in place. Tried both clockwise and counter-clockwise and cannot get it to twist. The tabs are positioned correctly.

I figured it out after trying for a few hrs. For those who need to re-install the clutch switch, the plunger must be partially compressed when twisiting the switch counter- clockwise for the black tab to rotate to allow the switch to secure. Do not compress plunger all the way or it will lock in that place and not make contact with the clutch pedal when pressed. If you push it in too far, remove switch again, pull out the plunger and try again.

haha - had this exact same issue when i did my first clutch switch. The secret is not to screw with the plunger before install. I messed around with the part and it cost me a half hour of frustration until I figured it out.
