Exclamation NEED HELP: Snapped Driveshaft Carrier Bearing Bolt

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I need some help because I just sheared off the head of the bolt that holds in the driveshaft bearing at the center of the shaft (the bolts that go into the piece pictured below). I cannot figure out how to pull out the slide piece that the bolt goes into so that I can pull out the other piece of the bolt. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, what are the torque specs on these bolts so that I can avoid this in the future?

Chris, I can get the torque specs out of my bentley for you. Also could you use a drill and easy out for the the snapped bolt?

I checked in my manual but I couldn't find the specs in there. I was looking in the trans section but I probably missed it.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to do it that way. I can't think of another way to get it out of there unless I can weld another nut on to it and pull it that way. I think the other one is completely stripped as well so I'm going to need to cut that one off and figure something out with that as well.

Anyone know if there is a way to slide out the metal pieces that the two bolts go into? It looks like they are sealed up in the subframe of the car but I figured someone might know how to get them out of there. It would be a heck of a lot easier if I could just pull that piece out then work on it on a bench.

Anyone know the torque specs for these bolts? I'm going weld up a rig tomorrow to get the snapped bolt out.
