    HELP ME!!!! CODE p0705

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i have a 1997 audi a4 fwd 1.8t AEB automatic. this code is up on the car right now and all the indicator lights on the dash are on(P,R,N,D,2,1) the car does still have reverse but i can tell it is in limp mode because the car has NO power at all.

i have been reading about the neutral safety switch on the transmission is the problem but i have been told that is to fix the code p0706 but mine is the p0705. If i buy the switch and put it in, will it fix my problems?????

    thanks

Disconnect the battery and crawl up underneath and check the conenctor, try to see if any wires are exposed or broken. leave the battery for 10 min (make sure you have radio code), then try to try it again see if it goes into limp mode again
