Did I buy the right part? (Exterior related)

I have 2001 Audi A4. I was talking to my friend at work who has a similiar model, and I am not quite sure if I ordered the right part. I think I did, and double checked but I am still a new owner. The front bumper was sagging near the front fenders so I ordered this link below.

My vin number last digits are...A053995...and its says, "Up to Vin#X199999, split is in 1999"

Did I order the right part?

Yeah, the vin split thing is basically saying "up to '99" or "99.5 and up". 2001 falls in the second category, so yes, you did order the wrong one.

BUT, they appear to be almost identical. The only difference I can see is the other one has 1 additional hole. I'm willing to bet you can just drill that hole (if it is even necessary) to make the older part work for you. My car was in an accident (previous owner), and the bumper/fender alignment was lousy. I took this guide piece off, drilled new holes (actually expanded or "slotted" the old ones) and reinstalled. Now the gap is correct.

So if you had to, I think you can make these work. If you can cancel your order and get the correct ones...even better.
