awesome, this was using di-noc right? what size sheet did you have to buy?

i had a coupon for amazon and ordered some cheap-o cf vinyl and when it got to my house it looks terrible since its not a diagonal weave like yours. mine looks so fake, most likely wont use it.

*Edit: also did you clear-coat it?

it is not the di-noc stuff...its actual carbon fiber wrap i got online...all u need it the 3m adhesive spray to apply it....i didnt go with the di-noc stuff cause to the touch it felt kinda cheap...this stuff has better texture...i didnt clear coat it...i was thinking about doing it but i like how it looks like right considering i dont kno how its gonna react with the material.....

how much did you have left over with the 3 yards? theres a few other areas i might want to try (center of steering wheel, maybe shiftknob, etc.)

of course i did all the door trims...i jus didnt take any pics of them except for the 2 that i posted...i kinda figured everyone would get the idea of what they look like...i dont kno the name of the brand but u can prob hit up the website i got it from and ask them...they might be able to help u out...good luck with ur search....

yea i used 3m super 77 adhesive spray which u can get at home depot or lowes...the ocarbon sets are pretty damn nice but i didnt wanna spend that kind of money on jus trim pieces...is it worth it to do so? idk, its ur call...for me it isnt tho...my car is stock as far as performance goes so if i was gonna drop that kinda money i would do a power chip or sumthin...for the 50 bucks i spent on material its damn worth it tho the way it came out....

I still have yet to get the front ashtray cover off, how did you go about that. It's the only piece that is still woodgrain in my car.

^^ There should be two rediculously easily to break tabs on the bottom of the ashtray cover. You should be able to pop it off from going from the top down, lift the very top then flip downwards. That could be completely backwards, could take the two small tabs off first then lift up? I snapped my tabs off, so I probably did mine wrong.

Yeah Josh, I remember you telling me that before, I was kinda hoping to hear from someone that didn't break something in the process, nothing personal.

Just did this mod this past weekend. Worked out great, and the results are AMAZING! Props to Btsline04 for the product link and motivation. Bit of advice for anyone doing this in the future: the piece attached to the handbrake is a PITA, both to take off and put back on. Be very careful when taking it off, as I managed to snap off the clips holding it to the handbrake itself and am now trying to jimmy-rig it back together >:/ Also when you're trying to put this piece back in, snap the surrounding two pieces in first, it makes it A LOT easier to position and align. Just my .02. Once again great mod, easy to do with great results.

Will post pics as soon as I get a chance, which will probably have to be this weekend. Below is a good walkthrough on how to remove the pieces, although in all honesty you're gonna have to go with the "breathe, pray, and pull" method most of the time lol.

    Walkthrogh: http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=1727356

Also, instead of wasting $40+ or whatever crazy price they want for those stupid plastic trim removal pieces, just head over to your local pat catan's (or whatever art supply story you have) and pick up a set of clay tools. They are usually metal with wooden handles. I got a pack of ten assorted ones for 7 bucks!!! They are great because they come in all odd shapes and angles, and are very thin yet strong. This will allow you to get underneath the pieces for removal and will also help you tuck any excess fabric you have when refitting. I will post pics of those tools as well. Good luck!!

P.s. I ordered 3 yards of this stuff, and only used about 1 yard, so I have a 1.5 yard piece whole which I can sell to someone for like $20, which is more than enough to do a trim and then some. PM me if interested.

I was thinking about clear coat, although I do like the texture of the fabric as is, plus I don't know how it will turn out/react. I'm might try to clear coat some of my excess material and see how it turns out this weekend. Will post results and pics if i do.

There are two things I would like to do to finish off the look though for sure: the SPP tip mod with momo airleather sport shifter, and the brushed aluminum shift cover fix. My shift cover is pretty scratched up and could really use a new look. Although I was looking at your pictures [btsline04], and is it just the angle of the light, or is your shift cover tinted charcoal? If it is, let me know where i can buy/ how to do this.

For those who are interested here are the tools i used and referred to above:

I used the curved ones most for removal, and the ones that look like mini spears are nice for refitting and tucking excess. Even though they are metal they did not cause any damage to my wood because they (the curved ones) are not sharp.
