Question for the Toronto people signed up for the APR Chip Stop

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
How many of you guys have already added an exhaust?

If you have what company and spec did you go with?

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts or better yet coming to check it out if you were down for that. I am not sure which one I want to go with. APR, Milltek or AWE and thought some read would feedback from local guys would be cool.

    Thanks

Those are the 3 best IMO. You need to decide for yourself what you want though.

APR - rich throaty sound under hard throttle, very sedate and stealth under mild accel and normal driving, has a completely open system with no restrictions for airflow to pass through.
Milltek - Deep rumble, sounds the most like a V8, very nice under hard accel, can sometimes drone or be too loud in a very few situations
AWE - Between APR and Milltek, not as deep a rumble, not as much throaty and rasp.

NW Exhaust shootout post with videos: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...aust-Fest-2010 (no AWE present at this one)

APR without the SC whine to distract as well as some in cabin video to illustrate normal driving: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-exhaust-redux

All good points. I have had a chance ton hear a non res milltek and liked it but did feel that over time it may get to be a little too much. Something is telling me to get the awe system but I have yet to hear either the apr or the awe.

I will say that that the clips I have heard from the apr made it sound pretty raspy and kind of obnoxious. Not sure if that was just my ears as most people say it's not that way at all

The oval tips are huge for me as well as I am not a fan of the quad pipes as they seem to be a little too big from what I have seen.

I'm going to have to just pull the plug here and pick one.

Hey I'm in the same boat....Have you considered STaSIS? Maybe we can see about getting enough people from the GTA to get a group discount someplace

I've heard nothing positive about Stasis I'm regards tom their B8 system. Other than the fact it sounds basically like a stock system. Check out that pnw exhaust shootout to hear it.

I'm always game for a group discount but it would have to be from one of the big three for this car

That is actually Milltek non-resonated in your post. The resonated Milltek is pretty quiet from vids online.

If you want a Milltek, then the drive to John at stratmosphere is definetly worth it!
