    Nice contribution....

If by manually, do you mean you actually put the key in the trunk and tried to open it? Try pulling off the interior trunk panel to see if something is disconnected or crushed. It sounds like your actuator is taking a dump.

That happened to my car. Pushed the button on the key fob, you'd hear it trying to move, but trunk wouldn't open. Opened with the key manually tho. Turned out my actuator was just loose

leave it like this. They'll never find the dead hookers.

No seriously try with the key and push down on the trunk while turning the key. Should open. If not, crawl through the back seats and pull off the trim, then you can pull on the mechanism and get it open.

Im having the same issue with mine some times. I push the button on the key fob and you can hear what sounds like the motor trying to open it. I also try to open it manually by pushing on the button by the rear license plate and the same thing happens. If i insert the key in the trunk it opens up just fine. is that my actuator going bad, if so is it hard to replace.

i have the exact same problem. to be honest, i think it may just be sticking to the seal that runs the perimeter of the trunk lid. it opens, but even still i have to pull up on my trunk and it makes sticky sounds when i lift it off the trunk seal. tomorrow i will wipe the whole seal down and maybe wax it lightly to see if it works.
