    my car wont start... its a 1999 a4 1.8t quattro. no spark, replaced spark plugs and noticed that the plugs from the harness that plug into the coil pack had some wire that were missing the insulation. im not getting spark... what could have cause the wires insulation to break... nothing burnt but just cracked insulation and no spark. not sure how far back the isulation is cracked. suggestions on what cause this or how to fix it?

    Either way, USP Motorsport sells a cheap replacement CP harness for $29/ea.

    I'd recommend picking up two pair of those and going from there. Heat cycling and frequent installs can wear away your electrical bits over time.

    hey man 2 post's down from you is the post with the replacement coil pack harness that would definitely be a great place to start since that is a common problem
