I have a stock head unit in my 2003 B6 A4 1.8T, I believe to be the Symphony.
A couple of years ago, I fitted a Grom Audio input adapter that turns the CD changer input into an 3.5mm auxiliary input.
It works very well for my phone/mp3 player and satellite radio receiver with no problems.
However, the input quality is mediocre and definitely lessened. Bass, for example is very much lost. The same devices (playing the same audio tracks) connected to a crummy Ford head unit with built in aux support sound great.
So, does anyone know a higher quality auxiliary adapter that is out there? I am not interested in an iPod adapter.
