engine vibration noise driving me crazy!!

For several months now I have been getting a rattling/vibration noise somewhere in in the engine. It only does it for a short period right after start up at 3100rpm and only happens while accelerating. It sounds like a heat shield or cam chain rattling, but I have just had my cam chain and tensioner replaced and it stops after the engine warms up. I have looked everywhere to see if something is loose, but can't find anything. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated before I pull the rest of my hair out:) Thanks.

Well.... you shouldn't really be above 3k rpm until the car is warmed up anyway... so you're good.

Can you narrow down where the sound is coming from?

It actually makes noise all the way up to 3k rpm, it's just much more noticeable at 3100. And by warmed up, I mean anything short of the temp needle being straight up for a while.

I wish I could narrow it down. I problem is that I can't get it to make any noise just by revving it sitting still. It only does it under load while accelerating. It definitely sounds like it is inside the motor. It just seems strange that it magically disappears once you get enough heat built up. I originally thought I had a oil pressure issue and the engine needed to reach a certain rpm to increase the pressure, but I just had it worked on and pressure checks came back fine.

I have a rattle when I step on the gas to rev and on the way down you'll hear a rattle coming from around the cat/down pipe area....I've yet to deploy and extensive investigati but it does bother the hell out of me...kinda of embarrassing at times...
