    .:EuroCode Tuning:. B8 S4 3.0T Dyno Extravaganza!!! 91 Craptane!

    Never to be left behind, the team at Eurocode Tuning was excited to hear about APR's pre-release of the B8 S4 3.0T programming. Like a kid in a candy store, we immediately removed the engine control module of our in-house, Sprint Blue S4 and the engine control module of one other S4 and sent them off to the experts at APR for a software update.

    The entire process went flawlessly, APR received the ECM's the following day, flashed them and returned to us via overnight dispatch. We literally had the cars up and running with the programming in less than 48hours (removed ECM at 4PM on Tuesday, shipped overnight, had it back by 10:30 AM Thursday).

    The following morning, we headed back to the dyno that we perfomed baseline runs. Here are the results...enjoy!

    Are there any other mods for the test car with headers ie. Exhaust, intake? Are the headers DIY or is it a major pain in the ass to do?

    No, stock airfilter & stock cat back with the secondary cats in place. A lift would be nice, but I depends on how crazy you are. I have seen people do engine builds on stands.

    Data is great, I think the most sought after piece of info is going to be a video and/or sound clip. Probably a deal breaker for most, me at least. Look awesome though!

    This is first class thread. Good work guys. The prospect of 400whp may just happen after all....add the hfc,and exhaust, add the pulley, bit of tuning for the slight increase in boost available, and some kind of intack improvement. might not sound good, but it will go like stink.

    no cats on this offroad dyno pull though. Just a point.

    I can understand the dependence of the dinamics from universal Hp, like in car pasport. But I can't orient like that on AWHP.., I can't understand how fast and powerful the car will be.

    The cats are at the header stock, the item at the downpipe is a small muffler/resonator. These headers and stock exhaust = failed emission test.

    Is there a hfc that replaces the downpipe?

    I was more interested in cost to install headers because I know how much work it is. I think I got the gist on the ECM and as soon as I see how the Stasis looks, I might come up.

    Every single dyno posted is with a facotry catback, however there are combination of stock, stock with our long tube headers, APR programming and APR programming with our headers.

    The only mods to either car whatsoever were APR and/or our Long Tube Headers.

    I don't know why, but is seems to me that headers, stock vs stock with headers adds 30 awhp , which is more than Apr vs Apr and headers - 12,5 awhp as we can compare beetwen 1 graph and the 2 one. Why is sooo?)

    There is a 24WHP difference, look at the 3rd graph from the top APR 91 vs. APR 91 and headers.

    Mods are not cumulative as some will have you belive. When a re-tune is tossed in the mix,
    the gains from that intake or cat back advertised to make 7-10HP is not going to be there in full.

    Anybodys guess, based upon the stock WHP dyno numbers, either the B8 S4 is very much underrated from the factory, or somehow Audi miraculously managed to get drive train loss down below 10%.
