Is my 2002 allroad Tiptronic base model CAN bus or non-CAN? I'm trying to locate the correct OBD-II cable.

The C5 allroad does not require the CAN specific cable. I highly recommend a real Ross-Tech Vag-Com cable as there have been known compatibility issues (coding, etc) with the ebay cables. Get the HEX+CAN Series so you can do new and old cars . . . makes the most sense to me.

The packages are not all that expensive now when you think about how much you can do with it on your car.

hex-can usb cable is 349! might seem expensive but well worth the money in the long run. 402 mod!lock unlock windows roll up and down are some of the fun stuff cel no prob plug in your vag-com.

The connections are sometimes off and the cables are sucky in quality. Also some of the programs and computers dont recognize them when you plug them in.
