Tire size on OEM Avus wheels

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just bought some 18" Avus wheels and thinking about going a bit lower than i already am, but i'm not sure what size of tire to get for the wheel? I believe they are 18x8 and i don't want the wheels to have such HIGH side walls, but don't want it to be a very streched out side wall. I really liked my old 19x8.5 with 235/35/19, should i do a 235/40/8 or what? I believe the OEM Avus is 18x8

Go with 235/40/18's Nico, thats what they were OEM. Thats also what I run on my OEM 18 Avus. Thats also a true plus 1 size, which keeps your overall wheel/tire diameter as close to OEM as possiable, which keeps your speedo and miles accurate.

Now lets see the wheels on the car... :)

Thats as far as ive gotten, i literaly just bought them like 1 hour ago!

Also i need to buy tires and have my fender rolled and install the spacers.

Kraut, are/were you running spacers? I have 15mm for all corners...

Nice Nico, those will look really good with the 15mm spacers but I you'll probably rub in the front with 235s as your offset will be 30. Its worth a shot though if your rolling your fenders you might be able to get away with it. I say get some 245/35s thats what I'll be getting the only problem is selection and pricing sucks.

No I don't run spacers at the moment. But, my (O) came on, so I suspect I was able to fit them with worn out front pads. I'll most likely be going with 10mm spacers when I put them back on. I've already switched to my winter rims.

225/35/18 looked nice on my old set up nico.... not too high of a side wall either.
