DRL LED's different colors.

Well I know Im not the only one with this issue. There is a thread in the A4 section here

on how the dealer has replaced a few. Basically one of them being a bit more clear/yellowish and the other being a bit blueish. I hear that you can swap the actual led. For those of us with Ecodes the dealer option wont work so anyone know the part number for the led itself? Or perhaps some of use can do a headlamp swap to match each others color?

I would recommend aftermarket lights. I just got the complete set of Thunderdomes (A4 ones) and I am loving them. I originally tried lights from SUperbrightLEDs.com and I was unhappy with their performance. Thunderdomes are great though. For around $100 you can change all of the lights in the car (map, dome, vanity, glove box, trunk, door sills) to match the ones shining on the floor.

I think the OP is talking about DRL's, not interior. Speaking of interior LED's, I also got the thunderdome interior set, and everything works fine, except the dome light, which is minimally lit even after the car is locked. You can barely see it, but it is on. Gotta say though, this mod really makes a huge difference in the way the interior looks, especially at night.

its tunerdome.com and it looks very nice at night, especially with the red seats. check out the b8 a4 interior package. it was cheaper when i bought it but since it got popular they raised the price. lol GL

Sorry about the confusion. That was the problem I had with the SuperbrightLEDs and that caused some electrical problems with my backup camera and other things. The Thunderdomes are on about 1% of what the other ones were and I do not think that is an issue. If you have all of the tunderdomes in, then that should minimize the problem.

Audi released a technical service bulletin about this saying that it is normal and not covered by Audi warranty. I notice it on Q5s mostly since I replace Q5 headlights left and right for the LEDs completely not working.

Thanks. I figured this would be the case. Its too difficult to match them perfectly. Well like I said, we could set up a headlamp swap so those with the whiter could match them with others etc..

I dod not have that problem on my S4, but I have noticed it on my TTS. I was going to ask my dealer about it next time I take it in.
