    Jack points for tire rotation (AVANT)

    I would like to rotate the tires on my Avant, but noticed their is nowhere to place the floor jack to lift-up one side of the car. What is the safest way to do this. I belive the rotation is back to front? Where would I place the floor jack? I do have two jack stands to help with the process.

    there are points to use the jack theyre right in front of the rear wheel and behind the front wheel. Its the pinch point of the body. There should be a spot where the plastic missing or is thinner becasue its meant for the jack in your car...http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...of-jack-points

    And be careful of the rotation if you have quattro because that changes everything. I have directional tires so im not sure exactly how non directional are rotated on a quattro

    Tire rotation is generally in an X formation, aka "X-rotating". That is swapping Left Front tire with the Right Rear tire, and likewise. The only time you cannot do this is if your tires are directional - they will usually have an arrow on the sidewall indicating the correct rotation. It should be simple to see in the tread pattern as well. In this case you can only rotate back to front on each side.

    you can lift any car up right below the B piller to do the whole side just be carful and use some wood between the jack and the car.


    The best way to do it is with one jack and one jack stand. Jack the back up and put it on a jack stand then jack the front up. Rotate your tires and repeat on the other side.

    You can also just jack up on the front on the normal jacking point seam and if you have a tall jack it'll get both wheels of the ground. I always change my tires using the high jack method, sames a lot of time.

    I use that method too. Works like a charm.
