Great info. I switched from a 3G to a Vibrant and was wondering how I'm going to do this as well. How much of a pain is it to install the Ice>Link? What happens when a call comes in? Does the phone mic still pick up your voice or do you have some sort of hack with a remote mic?

All the sounds from my phone are redirected to the car, so calls included. It will use the phone mic though, since it's only A2DP and AVRCP. You probably could just stash a bluetooth mic somewhere in the car and have the phone pair both the FIPO and the mic.

Can this be done with a DICE setup already connected to my RSN-E?

I found the little FIPO a few years ago, and was waiting for someone to be the guinea pig! Thanks for the write up.

So if you are connecting the DICE to the CD changer input of the RSN-E, are you losing the function of the CD Changer?

I think so? Ice Link comes with a pass through harness, though i have no idea how that works. My car doesn't have cd changer.

Yeah, pretty much any ipod adapter will do, though usually you need the latest firmware

How is the sound quality on the Fipo? I'm reading reviews on Amazon and the majority of them say there's a loss in quality. Definitely seems like there's more loss with this product than any of the aux wire A2DP devices I'm also looking at.

I have the Denison Gateway which has a 30-pin dock connectors and a aux. I like the idea of the Fipo because it's powered by the dock connector, no other wires needed. The Aux A2DP devices require power which will mean some degree of tapping and running wires.

Has this been confirmed? According to this it will not work with the dice, although that post is a few years old.

Any new updates? I just bought a 2008 RS4 and would like to proceed along these lines... How has it worked out?
