Lately on my gf's 2002 tt when we latch the top shut the icon on the gauge cluster that shows if the top is closed or not will stay on saying that it is not latched shut. Sometimes it takes us like 10 attempts for it to go off. Are those sensors in the top of the windshield that sense that the top is closed know to go bad or anthing like that?

The microswitch in the top left, is the one that you should be concerned about.

yea. It almost seems as if the little finger thing from the top isn't contacting that switch correctly for some reason. Usually I gotta slap the latch shut in order for it to lock in place without the stupid light staying on.
