    Stasis ECU tune released

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Had the S4 at my dealer for water pump replacement (it blew at 12k mi) and stopped by the Motorsports dept. Apparently they got a call from their Stasis rep and the ECU tune is ready. They told me they can pull the ECU on Monday to send to Stasis and have it back on Tuesday. They are still giving the 410hp number--questionable how they arrived at that figure which has already been discussed ad nauseum. Asking over $1500 installed plus tax, blah blah blah. However I'm very tempted to leave the car with them and have one of the first ones. I already have the exhaust, and want to keep my warranty in case anyone was wondering "why not APR".

Have they updated their web site yet? I would like to see the full hp/tq curve.

yea they defiantly need to back up their claims although my guess is that if they cracked the code necessary like APR they just allow more boost to bleed off compared to how APR take full advantage of all the boost to arrive a 410hp number

on the stock blower, all tunes will be using all of the available boost. the tunes should be within 5 hp of eachother when on 91 octane.

I agree Lou, with the caveat that Stasis (since they are warranty bound) may opt not to use all the boost if they feel this is too risky. What will see the tunes apart is how well they massage the A:F and timing to accomplish drivability, engine life and longevity, and fuel economy within the same workable scope where the factory tune was already using all the boost. Anything gained or lost within that threashold displays how well their engineers do their job and understand how well they do it.

I'm scheduled to drop my car off Tuesday morning to have the water pump replaced (preventative, there's a recall). Let me know if you decide to go ahead with it.

Yes at Reeves motorsports. Talk to Javier or Doug. HDClown--he said next day but you're probably right it will probably be 2 overnights.

I am going back to my dealer to pick up my Superchared badges on Monday and I will ask as well. I don't know about anyone else but I am not going to buy a tune that I have not seen graphs for or at least a video of.

Hey legbend. Where in Tampa are you? I have an s4 coming in december or January. I'm surprised. I think there are 4 of us on here from Tampa or right outside.

    Hey guys,

I think Reeves misunderstood, the S4 software is nearing release, not available yet. The turn around will be 4-6 days not 1. I will post the release when it's official.

It will be worth the wait, trust me

Could you post up before and after dyno and acceleration times along with the release? I'd like to go with you guys but everybody here has come to expect data before a purchase.

I'd get that validated, if this is real I can take it 2 ways:

Stasis is getting a heck of a deal on the tune if they can charge the same amount APR does and still offer a warranty, or the original info Stasis released about it being $1500 is going to change in the higher range.

Same the price range would be at the 2000-3000 range no doubt. However Stasis needs to chime back into this thread and talk about the Warranty if one were to get the flash. Or just post the Warranty agreement for all to see. Depending on how the warranty is. You might as well just pay less and get the APR one and keep your flash a secret from the dealer... Avoid any warranty hassles from both sides

This may be a silly question, but how do you hid the ECU flash from the dealer. If you take the car in and do a engine flash to update the software from Audi then you loose your tune, then you have to get it re flashed. I was going to tell my dealer not to do any software updates on my car, which I assume will make them ask me why and I will tell them what I have done to the car.

They need to chime in with the Warranty, but also how they are arriving at the numbers on their website....at least APR has been fairly straight forward with updates, dynos, ect. I get wanting to wait till you have all the bugs worked out to release all your information but how can you post "410 hp" on your website but not give any other information.

Most companies will just re-flash your ecu if the dealer updates it causing the flash to be erased. They also would do it free of charge too seeing how you already have bought the tune.

Not withstanding labor costs if you have them pull the ECU, etc.
