Found a bottle of car wax in my engine bay today...

I bought my 08 S4 back in July, and I was looking in the engine bay today and I see a bottle under the coolant tank. Not being very familiar with the car yet I thought it might be a filter of some kind, then I quickly realize it can't connect to anything the way its sitting. I pull it out and it's a bottle of car wax. It's plastic, so it's mangled a bit from the heat (it was resting on the heatshield, next to the intake manifold).

I'm starting to wonder about the car a bit. It only had 11700 miles when I bought it, in great shape. But the tires only have maybe 5000 miles left on them and they show wear from incorrect camber alignment. I always kind of assumed the guy drove it pretty hard/raced it from the tire wear. Car runs great other then that thought.

    Anyway, just ranting a bit.

I was going to post the pic, but I'm not able to attach images directly. Let's see if this works:

And for those that are thinking, "sweet, black wax for black cars!"...

When I first heard about the wonders of black box and then visited the site and read all of the great reviews, I was sold on this product. The price was right for what I wanted to see happen to my new car. I had gotten quite a few nasty scratches on my car from the snow blizzard of 2009-2010 and wanted to repair those scratches. I also wanted to give my car that deep, wet look.

I decided to purchase the product. It was just over 20 bucks. It took me 8 hours to apply to may car. VERY VERY VERY TEDIOUS!!!! It lightly replaced color to the scratches, but doesn’t it restore it to brand new. I was completely drained after applying the product and the shine that I received was no different than what I get from using a regular bottle of wax. I went through almost all of the product in one application. I must say that I’m not impressed!

Stick with your regular bottle of wax!
