OSIR Spoiler Fitment issues, what did you use?

I just got my OSIR rear spoiler, had it painted and now installing it i'm having some issues. Fitting the ends of the spoiler to the car is really hard, they keep coming off with the 3m automotive tape. Doesn't seem to be a very good fit. Any input would be helpful!

You need to get their Betalink adhesive and clamp the spoiler down for at least overnight.

Get a towel and a few bags of rice or sand. They'll mold to the shape and apply pressure evenly.

Or yea, wait for the pros to help you.

I went to the body shop and had him install it, he would not glue it. The tape he put on is not doing the trick, I guess when you want something done right you have to do it yourself. I will glue it later this week. Thanks for the help guys.

Blue "painters tape" won't cause any damage to your paint. I used that to hold my Reiger spoiler down overnight and it came off easily the next morning.

The adhesive on gaffer tape is enough pressure? I'd think it'd rip or stretch before it stays.

^ What adhesive/3M tape did you use to mount yours?

My body shop mounted it with the 3m automotive adhesive. It is just not strong enough to hold down the ends. Hopefully the glue will do it, I ordered it from OSIR today.

I used the 3M tape with red plastic backing. I used just about the whole roll. Sprayed a nice amount of (50/50) windex/water on the trunk lid that was previously cleaned with alcohol. The mixture allowed some time to move the spoiler into place. I held it there, pushing the ends down, about 15 minutes, then applied strips of painters tape to hold it down overnight. That sucker isn't budging.

OSIR's spoiler fitment is perfect, but you pretty much have to use betalink to ensure the sides stay down.

just test fitted my osir telson. It's definitely not a perfect fitment. The middle of the spoiler needs to be dug out more. The ends of the spoiler are not in contact with the trunk lid when aligned. And when I make 1 side fit flush, the other side will stick out more and vice versa.

I agree with you harry, definitely not what I was expecting. I really hope this glue works miracles!

If it sets correctly this spoiler will look amazing.

The Reiger spoiler looks to have more of a center rise and just more of a presence. The Osir spoiler just seems to be on there. If that makes any sense.

The profile shot of the spoiler doesn't improve the droopy butt of the B8 or is it just b/c it's carbon fiber and against a dark background.

Snowboard - any pics of your OSIR spoiler from head level looking down almost on top of the spoiler? I've never seen it from this angle and they don't have it on the OSIR website. I'd be interested to see how it "bows" out when looking down on the top of the trunk, if that makes any sense!
