STOLEN: The OEMplus Audi B7 A4

Hello all,

In the early hours of this morning (Sept 7), Josh's 2007 A4 S-Line was stolen from his driveway in Mission Viejo. If anyone sees the car or has any information about it's current location, please contact us: 949-600-6111.

Update: Car is found and safely back at the shop. Yeah!!

That's terrible. I think it probably went south to the border and across it. There is no way that anyone is going to get away with parting that car in So cal and not being spotted.

What an awesome looking car though.

I don't mean to be insensitive but I find it funny how someone stole the most distinctive A4 on the west coast.

I live in Ladera and drive by AudiMV twice a day so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Not accusing anybody just saying that one should look at all the possibilities prior stating it was stolen.

If you call your local PD and let them know they will tell you if it has been repossessed or due to unpaid violations, parking, etc.

Agree with Max here. It was clearly stalked and targeted. Someone knew it was there and planned to take it. No one is going to casually steal something like that, it's too conspicuous. Did it have a tracker?

^^ I thought the same. If it was stolen, it was def planned and most likely inside. Not saying it's impossible to steal with immo but a bit trickier. Especially from his driveway. I have ur number on speed dial. Will call if spotted in los Angeles.

Regardless some cities impound your car rather than boot it for unpaid tickets, etc. lol just saying.

We are listing out all possibilities so the owner knows where to look. Another common one is insurance fraud, people have a car stolen claim it stolen, get the cash, they are out free and clear. Don't get me wrong like I said, I ain't accusing nobody or trying to open a can of worms, just stating the possibilities. However, I do agree this was planned, and somebody wanted this car. If the thief truly wanted this car and had anyone shady at Audi, all he/she needs is the VIN number to have a fresh key cut.

Was anything else stolen from the house or area? Has there been reports of thefts in the area lately or is it a pretty regular thing around there. I remember MV to be a fairly good area with maybe some HS kids doing dumb shit at the worst. This is part of what makes me think it was an inside job. Piss anyone off lately?
If it was a random theft, how did they start the car? Did they rummage through the house and find an extra key? Any evidence of break in?
If it was an inside job, I see two scenarios...You pissed someone off or it's some kid in the neighborhood who had their eye on the car and they took it for a joyride and it will be dumped somewhere relatively close. The other scenario is someone had an eye on your car for some period of time and they have a specific plan and carried it out when they had the chance. If it was the latter case, your chances of seeing the car again or at least in one piece are very slim.

Either way, I'm sure you got a big chunk of the enthusiast community with their eye out for you so hopefully it's found in one piece.

Agree 100% most likely some jealous dumbass wanted to take the car for a joyride. If it's a stick I say the guy cut the parking brake cable if it was in neutral and rolled it out, or towed the car(you would hear it though, or some hi-tech car thief had the key or an immobilizer defeat tool.

The possibilities are endless and I hope the car gets back to you in one piece with no damage done. All I know is the violated feeling is what sucks the most.

Hmmm...just read a thread on another forum about some tweaker trying to break into bsrpilot's home last night. Wonder if it's related in any way. Not to make light of such a crappy situation but I laugh just thinking about some serial Audi stealing tweaker roaming the streets.

was there any evidence of broken glass in the driveway? quattro makes it a little more difficult as they'd need a flatbed to not damage the awd system. but whoever was behind this probably just wanted all the goodies off of it.

have you had any work done lately? I remember back in my Honda days, some shady shop workers would copy the keys, work on the car, then swoop it a few days later. happened to a friend of mine after getting his JDM front end installed on his ITR.

hopefully THIS car turns up, I was shocked when I heard the news

Santa Ana PD found the car last night and she is back home at our shop. Wheels & tires are gone and front bumper is destroyed from the flatbed, but we have her back with 90% of the upgrades & mods intact.

It would be found in Santa Ana...w/out wheels of all parts. Thats sad and pitiful for whoever stole it. Plus those wheels are custom and the only way of selling them is to invest $ into repainting them or selling them across the boarder (and if it was in Santa Ana, they have the connect)
