Random dinging noise in cab

Driving me crazy for two days. Seemingly random “warning beep” heard in the cab. It will happen once then nothing for 10 minutes. Then ding 3-10 times in a row. I’ve checked the speed warning setting and it is turned off. No warning as at all on the display or ODB2.

Any ideas?

Maybe a sound recording so we have some idea of what you're hearing. Also, where does it seem to originate? The speakers? The only other sound producer would be the rear parking sensor buzzer, in the right rear of the cabin.

Plus, a US MY08 A4 would be a B7 vehicle, not a B8 vehicle. So that forum might be more helpful.

I think I may hve the same thing happening. It sounds like it's a warning ding. I think it's it might be the clock spring or something in the steering column because I noticed it only happens when i'm driving over small, consecutive bumps that cause a certain vibration.frequency. Just a thought.
