no, there is no subwoofer inside the right hand side cover. This is for a B8 Avant.

Its not the spare tire compartment either as far as i can see... Could not see any speakers behind the side compartments either.
Took some pics of it: http://gallery.me.com/m.s.w#100188&v...or=black&sel=0

Seems i dont have the 10 speaker Audi Sound System then, can see on the brochoure that navigation plus comes with 8-channel speaker system with 80 Watt total amplifier. Anyone connected a high-low signal adapter to the rear speaker wires? Going to connect an amp and subwofer in the trunk.

Yes, I would say you don't have B&O since per B&O the sub is by spare, not sure where it is on non B&O, sorry:

    Avant Technical specifications

    Front door & Front/Centre loudspeaker:
    Two 25 mm tweeters
    70mm full-range (centre)
    80mm mid-range +200mm woofers

    Rear door and "D" pillar:
    25mm tweeters + 165mm woofers
    Two 80mm full-range

    Luggage compartment:
A 165 mm subwoofer in an 11L bass reflex ported cabinet placed within the excess space of the spare tyre.

Amplifiers (for both Sedan and Avant):
Five 25 watt Class-A/B amplifiers for tweeters, mid-range and centre driver
Two 40 watt Class A/B amplifiers for rear woofers
Two 75 watt Class D amplifiers for front bass drivers
One 150 watt Class D amplifier for the subwoofer

If you are not located in the US (which looks like it is the case) you can have the baseline speaker system, which is 1 step below the 'baseline' here in NA, which does not include a sub...

Is it an Audi concert system in your car? If so, the sub is located in your trunk for sure :-) It's a small black plastic thing and does not look like your usual subwoofer box.

(Hvis du har concert systemet sånn som jeg har er subwoofern garantert i rommet hvor reservehjulet eller trykkluftpumpa er)

Sounds to me like you have the base European system. Hi-low converter should work just fine by tapping into your rear speaker wires. Since the sub will only output the low level signal, distortion will be unnoticeable to the human ear (some may disagree...). I did this on my B5 that didn't have a built-in sub and it worked like a charm.

Seems i have the base level audi system yes. Will get an Hi-Low converter and tap into the rear speakers. Have found two types of converters, passive and a active type. Guess the aactive one gives better voltage output... Cant seem to find anyone who has done this on a B8.
