Need Help - Tiptronic problem

The transmission of my 97 Audi A4 1.8T Tip (with GIAC Performance chip and TIP chip) doesn't work since last week.

Early last week, when I got on highway, I found my car could not change to 5th gear when I drove in D mode. I then pressed the gas pedal further, the engine suddenly jumped from 3,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm and then the car changed to "limp mode".

I put on the VAG, 3 fault codes in 02 transmission control module were found:

(1) 00652 Gear monitoring --- Implausible Signal;
(2) 17101 P0717 Senior for gear input speed-G182 --- No signal;
(3) 00526 Brake light switch-F --- Impluasible Signal.

Please let me know what's the problem and how to solve it.

ok this might be the speed sensor. I don't know if your speedo has been acting funny or if it is like the busses I work on but in the bus we have 2 different speed sensors (one on the wheel for speedo and the other on trasmission to tell it when to shift.) might want to look into the speed sensor. thats what it sounds like to me

How many speed sensor in my Audi? I have changed the one at the transmission.

A guy in another audi forum told me that the transmission problem might be caused by a little electrical short. I need to change the brake switch and check all the fuse and relay. But I don't think is that simple. Anyway, I would ask the local garage to do the checking. Apart from this, I really don't know what I can do next.

Anyone have the similar problem, please let me know what I can do.

I have a 1998 Audi A6 C5 2.8 Quattro, 142kw ACK engine, ZF5HP19FLA transmission.
Now I have this problem. When I drive on cruise speed my car shifts smoothly thru all gears, BUT if am in a hurry, it goes 1-2-3-4 then[size=16px]​[/size][size=16px]​​​[/size][size=16px]​​​​​​ if I hold the gas pedal on 2000rpm or low, it shifts smoothly to 5th gear, BUT if I push the 4th gear above 2000rpm, it slips and goes into LIMP mode....until OFF & ON.
After driving like for about two years I decided to throw in another transmission and behold...exactly the same problem as the former.
I have tried another TCM on it....same issue.
VCDS suggested changing the Multifunction switch(F125), that I have not done. [/size]
