Sleeper status..

you can see how bad the humidity is down here...look at the rust starting to form on the manifold

having trouble with the transmission still...got new linkage,bushings, and shifter in there but it feels like it doesn't have the click that it should when you put it into gear, getting the software put on the car so its drivable and easier to diagnose the problem

John: yea I remember you had the filter going down towards the bottom of the engine bay...I wanted this intake setup bc the rain will destroy my motor if I drive through a puddle lol

I had a 95 240sx that was motor swapped and full suspension. Now I have this and time to get to work lol

It was the sr20det swap straight from Japan and turbo. it was fun but not practical for a family car right now. I will get me another one one day and put a skyline motor in it or a LS (corvette motor) swap.

thats pretty sick...some drift junkies down here in sofla have all sorts of crazy motor swaps, I want to make a drift truck when im done with school im thinking about taking my 95 toyota pickup and throwing a 2j motor in it.

Hell ya a supra motor in a pickup would be awesome. I had a supra too before I my 240sx. But my 240 was my first boosted car and I said I will never have an n/a car unless it is a american muscle. lol

I like my AWD boosted car but needs more power so i have been reading like crazy to find things that will really give me HP gains but not to much coin right now. but later I want to go bigger turbo. I need a boost gauge right now though to make sure everything is good on the vac and boost side of things

you should check out the many different gauges VEI Systems makes...all digital and look great in our cars
i can tell you that you wont find a gauge as accurate as VEI for the price.

i have a date when the car will be done...feb. 19th....same day as USP's BBQ, just in time for the event

I was watching chris tig weld a new support for the 600hp presicion core...this intercooler is friggin huge! he is doing an amazing job on this car

oh and john, my intake right now has no room for the MAF so we are cutting the intake tubing about 6-7inches so we can fit a MAF and slim filter in there

Be careful with the slim HKS filters, i maxed out the smaller one and had to switch to an AEM cone.

You could also try a 90 off the turbo then a U around the frame rail. That should give you enough distance from the turbo to the MAF

Theres anti rust spray you can get. works pretty good. for you manifold.

ur joking right^^ its gonna roast em all the way through 3rd gear, maybe not til i break it in but a simple 22psi tune for now should give me 350+hp on this setup...once shes broken in im retuning for 400+hp, then when i build the head 500+hp

what like some wd-40? lol i would think that would burn off...unless its like a no rust spray paint, but i dont want to remove the manifold to do this =/ what have you seen that I can use?

I also have my custom digital boost/wideband/oil pressure vent gauge almost finished, my co-worker is finishing up the code for it...working at VEI is really fun, esp. when i get to build my own gauge

nahh...up north get way more rust on their cars bc of the salt on the roads during the winter...the only way down here to get real bad rust is when people load their boats into the salt water and causes serious corrosion if its not washed off i just want this layer of rust off bc it makes the engine bay look cruddy
