    Hi all,

I want to clear corner my A6 but the whole procedure looks fraught with danger and grief.

If there's anyone who's done this and willing to help with mine I'd be very grateful indeed.

Pretty much anytime and anyplace works for me.

Thanks in advance for any advice or offers,

    GM

Randy and I would be more than happy to help you Glyn. Let me know when and where and we'll do it. He's done about 2 sets complete himself and I've clear cornered 2 sets myself.

    Kirk,

Thankyou for the kind offer. Maybe we could hook up this coming weekend?

I know that getting the bloody lights out is a major PITA and I really didn't want to screw up the newly painted front bumper.

I'll get pizza, beers and whatever else is needed.

    Cheers.

I just did this on my S4 last weekend. Getting the lights out was the easy part. I tried my hardest to do it without drilling but finally gave in. I didn't want to bake them either. They turned out pretty good but I couldn't get all of the tiny bits of amber out. On the second one I got a piece of it sticking out of the signal light bulb hole before I broke it off. I also cleaned the amber off the signal light bulb with rubbing alcohol. Turned out good and no condensation in the housing. Sounds like you already got some good help. Good luck.

Thanks. I think I'll be in good hands with these guys. My car isn't a show car by any means but I still want it to look nice and the more Euro I can make it the better.

My car will be off the road for about a week as I'm having the instrument LCD panel rebuilt because of dead pixels.

    This would be a good time to do the clear corners . . . . . . . . .

So now the weather is improving again I'd really like to get my headlights "cleared". I can't find the replacements I want so I'm going to clear corner these for now and keep looking. Plus I may be able to clean up the nastiness in the left hand lamp once it's apart. After I did the fog light mod it just looks weird with the amber corners.

Any offers of help as these C5 lamps are a pig's arse to get out....
