    B6 A4 complicated(ish) xenon headlight questions

So I bought a salvage 2002 B6 A4 from the auction hit in the front. Passenger headlight is done for. Its a 1.8 seems like a base model but turned the headlights on and surprisingly they are factory Xenon's. The passenger one that is hit still fires up no problem the housing is just done for. First question is all B6 A4s with factory xenon, are they all bi-xenon or earlier years just xenon low beam? Reason I ask is because I took a decent trip today to day to buy parts off a parts car and not to my luck the car ended up having factory halogens. The housing and all is in good shape and he let me have it for $30 so I didn't turn it down. So my question is, on the bottom of that halogen housing their is a blank space as if a ballast could go there. So am I able to take the working guts out of my smashed Xenon and use all of those parts on the halogen housing I purchased? But if they all came with bi-xenon that answers it for me cause I am aware that the halogen housing I purchased today will not have the shutter inside of it to go from high/low beam. I don't mind if I don't have the auto level feature cause it makes sense that that will not work in the halogen housing. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You can convert halogen housings to Xenon. Swap the low beam projectors, do not use the halogen projectors with HID lamps. Cut out the mounting at the bottom for the ballast. Install the ballast on the halogen housing. Remove the harness connector and internal wiring harness from the xenon housing and install into the halogen housing. The auto leveling motor will fit the halogen housing as well.
