Can i replace the Quattro badge on my dash?

I kind of want to replace the quattro badge in my wood dash panel with an s-line badge... not sure how it would look but im usually open to stupid little mods like that just to try something new

but what is behind there? is that badge pinned in, or clipped it? and do they make any types of replacement badges for that or do i need to just make a fender badge fit?

i'll post pics if i figure out how to make this work

The S-Line badge won't fit flush in the Quattro hole, but you could float it over in the same spot.

The Quattro badge can be dremelled out, its basically just three pegs that have had their tips melted so they stay in place.

oh, i see what you mean, the quattro badge is recessed in the wood, being held in with 3 plastic pins... but the s-line badge can go over the hole

i think im ganna give this a shot, just gotta find the right size badge to fit over the quattro hole, maybe the grille badge...

thanks for the info, i'll post some pics if it comes out alright

    any luck

I am looking to do the same thing. I cant find ony s-line badges to fit in there, cause of the red flag protruding from the top of it. I would like to have it recessed in the dash, but im afraid that I will not be able to smooth the lines of my cut areas enough, and it will looked hacked. the only problem with floating it is it will look slightly out of place. Like it was just stuck on. In any event, I was wondering how it came out if you did it.

I take that back I belive I found one

I have the same car and year as the OP, and when I removed my badge in the past its just held in with 3 plastic pins and a snap washer, they aren't melted.

It can be removed and install with the same parts in a matter of seconds.

I purchased the center dash trim piece from a CVT car (non quattro) so it was flush and didn't even have the quattro badge. Then wrapped all my trim in CF fabric and put a custom black anodized s-line badge over the CF fabric. The badge is exactly the same size as the original quattro emblem except the red hash mark is a little taller.

and lol at you for finding this thread; I made it over a year ago and completely forgot I even asked this question. hope this helps though

I used to commute every day to Stamford, and I go to EPL sometimes too. My next trip to EPL will be for my tune and dyne pulls, you'll have to come down.
