I am sorry to say this but I am OUT. I really like this unit but I like the other touch screen nav and dvd system better. It's way more expensive but I think I like the touch screen and the ability to access things from the screen versus having an iphone or a nav unit. Anyway, thanks for waiting. I appreciate it. I will most likely order the unit in a couple of months as it's not an easy (cheap) buy like this one.

Let me know if it works. My iPhone is jailbroken and there is a hack were I can enable video out for any app.

theres a spot in the left side of the glove box, but the glove box has to come out completely, theres room in the back of glove box, i have mine in the glove box inside an electronic project box, and i made holes for the a/v inputs.

its not that hard, theres a couple of other screws that this diagram doesnt show but they are inside the glove box, and theres a couple under it.

i just ordered this unit from the UK website. didnt think i would qualify for group buy as i'm in singapore.

anyway, once i get this up and running i'll be installing the HKS Camp2, which reads directly from OBD to able to display digital/ analog boost/ speed/ rpm/ water temp, and if i buy the necessary sensors, oil and water pressure too!
this will be my next project :) didnt wanna deal with any external gauges.

damn@! i guess i WOULD've been able to gett that group buy price. oh well. i ended up paying about $15 more than you guys.

so for those who are installing this, are you guys going the full hog and loading GPS, reverse cam, DVD, digital TV? for me i'm just gonna connect my iPhone via component cables for the GPS navi and then HKS camp2 for the gauges. not sure about reverse cam yet due to installation issues.

I'm waiting to see if this is a MMI vs non-MMI thing or if ANYONE can do this via VCDS. Oh man, this would be HUGE as it would save us about $50 for the AMI 3.5mm cable.

Probably through the same cable as the video I assume. Either way, xileh has just confirmed he does NOT have MMI. I asked him for the VCDS coding. Plug and play, and enable in VagCom.

Yes. Still have to select AUX-IN on the Head Unit.
