Speculate Me: How long will Magnetic Ride survive under lowered conditions ?

I know no one can tell me for sure other than Audi themselves. But humour me here. Based on what you know of engineering principles and cars in general; how long do you think the Magnetic Ride shocks will survive under mild lowering conditions (say 1.2-1.5") ??

And let's say when it comes time to replace it, is it a better choice to go to coilovers and dump the magnetic capabilities completely? GenuineVWAudiParts has the Closed Loop Suspension strut (other than Standard and Sport) for $562 each.

The A4 is not available with magnetic shocks. I assume you're asking about the adjustable shocks which are part of the Drive Select package. They are constructed with two fluid-filled chambers separated by an electronically-controlled valve.

Is it? An Audi parts guy told me it's magnetic.

Let's assume you're right, which I can believe since I've heard this before from more people. Same question stands...how long?
