ordered from europa parts with the gaskets and o2 sensor spacer. arrived five or six days later...
then the installing part came... I saw a DIY on here that says after you remove all the bolts you pull the downpipe + cat down (towards yourself). Well, It cant be done on, not on a QUATTRO TIP at least :/
The cat had to be unbolted and removed from the top, which was a pain in the a55. And the car was on a lift.
Then came the o2 spacer. Yeap you guessed it, I've put it before the rear sensor and it just doesn't fit in the engine bay, keeps hitting the heatshield or something. It needs at least an inch more of cleareance.
I guess it TOO is not for QUATTRO TIP models.
the CEL was on after 3 hours.
the sound is AMAZING. Spools a bit quicker, less turbo lag.
before the videos, just one question for the 'experts' ... the test pipe is 3" wide..and the downpipe is 2.5" .. the gasket that came in the kit (the smaller one) fits the downpipe but creates a sort of a bottletneck after the test pipe.
it goes in this order TURBO, big gasket, 3inch tetst pipe, 2.5inch gasket, 2.5 inch downpipe.
does it restrick airflow in any way, and will the exhaust gases 'break' the part of the gasket that is 'sticking out' (inside)?
