    Matching tint after break-in.

About a month ago my car was broken into and I had to have the passenger window replaced (hadn't even made the first payment). Problem is the window was tinted at a dealership that is 7 hours away so I couldn't go there to get it replaced. So, I had it fixed at a local shop and unsurprisingly it doesn't match.

My question is, is it even possible to get a near perfect match on a replacement window? I've called the original installer and Inow know the brand and type of tint they used (SunGard Charcoal 35%) but I'm having trouble finding a local shop that carries it. Anyone else have success with something like this? Should I just suck it up and replace both windows?

    Thanks.

Why don't you just order the tint and have someone do it? Or im sure any reputable shop can get their hands on that specific one.

I don't think you can special order window film just for one window. More likely they would have to order the whole roll, no? If you know the manufacturer of the window tint, contact them and ask if any shops or installers close to you carry their product.

You never know maybe some sites have rolls in stock and will cut as much as you need. But yea def contacting the manufacturer would be best to see who carriers it for sure.

Highly doubt it would work but check Ebay or Craiglist, perhaps somebody will have some extra left over that they're trying to sell. Not likely but it doesn't hurt to check.

I bet you can talk the original dealer into sending you a piece for free if you explain what happened.
