I used to have two black Avants. I miss both of them. One of them is actually already pictured in this thread, in full race form...

I think I win the 4x4 challenge too. Don't be fooled by the pics- the A6 was about 6-10" longer than the A4.

It seems the center caps you have match the original color they were offered in (same as mine above). IIRC they are currently offered in silver & black only.

I think the black centers would look better with red calipers or just change the color...but don't do plain silver. Too boring.

The wheels were once this color, the first owner painted them black. It looks like a HUGE PITA to repaint them while assembled because it's going to take a lot of effort to get the black off, though a good paint thinner may work well... I think I'm going to burn off the tires and then perhaps over the winter I'll refinish the spokes and inside barrels to a gray that is slightly darker than your wheels. Got any shots of your car from farther back? My calipers are actually somewhat red, I bought the B6 S4 brakes used and they had been painted but flaked pretty badly. Maybe one day I'll take them off and blast them back to bare aluminum. Maybe powdercoat them black... maybe.

Or I may just resell them. I like my 18" Champions a lot... perhaps I'll get some track tires for those wheels. I've got 21 wheels for my car right now. lol.

disassemble wheel. strip. repaint/powder coat. it's the only way to do it IMO.

I used Folia-Tek on my calipers and it worked pretty well.
