can you trick you egt sensor with a resistor or bypass

yeah i have inconsistant boost, and if feels really rough at part throttle like crusing and boosting right about 0psi, it feels better at night when it is cooler. but i have a hard time reaching 17psi it only goes to 13-14. and feels like its pulling timing. i have check twice for boost leaks. and i keep getting a code for the driver egt intermitingly going bad.

Yeah, its toast man. If you decide to buy new ones, genuinevwaudiparts is the cheapest you'll find. I think they only sell the in pairs though. This is the part number 078998124B, it includes both of them.
