looks are personal prefeence, if you like it, cool
but my concern, it's not safe, the max rim for that tire is 9.5, and that's pushing it
the bead is not seated properly, that is dangerous

I don't rub at all btw...
yeah 245 on the 10's would push the inner corner too close ot the suspension.. 9.5 with a spacer and rolled fenders is enough for a 245, but youre just asking to rub thru the tire if you do it on 10's.. theres no room to pull his fenders any significant amount if theyre already rolled (which im 99% sure thye are), so poke is the only option

    Looking good TayTay!

My MKIII jetta had the tires stretched about like yours and it was dumped also on coil overs. Couldn't really push the corners with that setup in fear, but it's a really nice way to tuck the tire under the fender like you did.

I know low is a lifestyle but that simply does not do it for me. Never liked the tucked look and the tire stretched look. I do like the colour combination though

Not feeling the huge gap between the edge of the rim, and the actual tire. Its so big that it doesn't look like its seated properly.

On my cars when I bought rims, I always went wider so that I could fit the widest possible rubber on it. Dont understand the point of a 10 inch wide rim, if you can only put a 235 wide tire on it.

    Nice Taytay!

For all you guys saying the tires are too thin. How about a 275/30/19 on a 10"?

    Or if that's too low.

hmm im pretty sure the tires are safe. It seats fine and is holding air. If you think this is a lot of stretch you havent seen anything. Honestly I dont push this car at any ride height because it simply sucks at it.

i dont think they understand your purpose for the avant .. but that being said, ive done canyon runs with the same setup as you (raised about 0.5in) and the tires have been fine.. people are def overreacting to the stretched tires

Those are stretched quite a bit (they hold air yes, but safe...for cruising straight lines daily, yes). But if you took a corner at a decent speed I bet you would think differently about having that much stretch just for the looks. You'll feel your car lean (even with sway/strut/coilover) and that's your tires shifting under weight. Still looks killer though, just saying don't ever push the handling ability with a setup like that.

First off, I think it looks really good! I love the color combo, and I would personally keep the chrome trim. It keeps it classy. Second of all the stretched look doesn't look bad to me, but it doesn't add too much either. If there are safety concerns I would just get a normal size since the stretched look doesn't add that much more in the way of aesthetics. In other words, your car would still look killer with or without the stretched look. Third of all, I'm afraid that I am in the "too low" club. If it rubs, it's too low for me. Period. That's just me and my driving style. If I knew I was rubbing on hard corners then I don't like the feeling that I have to dial it down. I just like the feeling that everything is 100% in working order with no issues.

Not sure why people insist on making their lux sport sedans look like 10 year old VWs. Also it seems that majority of this shit originates out of florida; not sure what's going on over there.

This "euro tuning" look that people in the US jack off to is nothing but a local variety of rice; tards that can only afford 10 year old cars and tires 2cm too narrow. I'm european and those clowns are certainly not something to emulate; not any more than JDM nonsense for hondas.

Finally any time you get responses that people dismiss as "haters" or that it's "unique", you did something retarded. This rule never fails.

the main issue with too wide rim vs too narrow tire is not only holding air, but having the bead securely seated
there IS a reason they give an approved rim width...not conforming may void warranty or DOT certification
the issue is when the tire looses air or deflates, then it's the bead that locates/secures the tire to the rim...it's a safety issue
a blowout/deflate at 70 is bad enough, if the tire leaves the rim it only gets worse
with rubbing the likelyhood of this happening increases, due to the damage the rubbing does over time...

all I was trying to do was give you fair warning, you're a big boy...some people don't know things intrinsically, until explained, that's all I was attempting to do, no insult intended
    lecture over

side note: car looks good, I would raise it a bit for drivability, but it looks cool
the rims are great, I have them in silver and couldn't be more pleased...I run 265/35/19

poke. stretch. slam. that set-up/stance looks sick! makes me want to do the same...i have to see this in person! and i would probably throw those spacers in there and dial in some more negative camber, too.

if your referring to our style as fast and furious your bugging. Last I checked we don't have crazy wings and body kits with neon. In fact we are all oem. Do your research before you decide to run your mouth.Or better yet stop by a blockbuster and rent yourself the movie. Maybe you'll get a clue!

So because I lower my car maybe and inch more and run a more aggressive wheel I'm fast and furious? I'll use mtndog quote : Albert's quote: "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."

    Err wat?

And yes, regarding the issue of running tires soo narrow that the bead can pop off, that quote is very apropos. The slam/poke/stretch nonsense is the ed hardy of car modifications.... sweet belt buckle bro.

+1. That low, I'd love to see how long his suspension components last. Or that fateful day he DOESN'T see that monster pot hole...

Ask me how many B6/B7's I've seen at my dealer getting new transmissions because of a pot hole, or rock.. Florida isn't as Utah, but none the less..

I guess I'm just more of flush/functional type of guy as opposed to using incorrect sizes on my car and in his words, ruining the ride of the car.. Since when does this car not handle well? Mine handles great.. I mean, it's no time attack car, but sure as hell feels solid through the corners..

You should have bought an M3 TayTay
