Coilovers for a D2 S8?

Hey guys about to get into a 2003 S8, and I was wondering if you all have or know of any places to find used coilovers for these cars? I know where to get them new, but honestly I would much rather find a set used for half the price! (I checked our classifieds here, but there's no A8/S8 section

Good luck finding a used set of COs. You are better buying it brand spankin' new. Buy H&R or K&Ws. I have FK Silverlines and not really pleased with them. The springs on my set tend to creek when it compresses.

I've looked at all these, and I have to say its a bit dissapointing that the rears aren't adjustable. Any other options with adjustable rears?

just buy them new they are about $1200 for H&R's thats pretty damn good for our cars

Nope, none come with adjustable rears. I think, but don't quote me. H&R COs may come with an adjustable perch for the springs in the rear, I'm not 100% sure. If you wanna go any lower in the rears, you can always think about buying an airbag suspension set-up.

Yeah H&R's are definitely best price for the buck, and they go down 1.75 in the rear non-adjustable.. hmmm.. How low do your FK's go? Would you mind posting some pics up? (not really considering FK's but just to see the drop)

I have H&R coilovers. Very Very Happy with them. I have them on my M3 and GTI as well. H&R coilovers use bilstein shocks/struts and you know you can't go wrong with bilstein.
There is no rear adjustment with the H&R's. I actually don't think that it would lower your car any since you have a S8 and they are a little lower then the A8. I have a 2000 Short wheel base A8. I ended up cutting 1 coil off in the rear to get the car at the perfect ride height. The fronts have plenty of adjustment. Because of the way way the spring is designed with the top 3 coil loops completely compressing on one another when the car is under load there is no change in the spring rate by removing 1 of the filler coils.

The car has settled and is a touch lower then it is in this picture.
