TSB by VIN number

Is there any online service to see what TSBs have been released for any given VIN number?, my dealer told me there were no TSBs for my vehicle but I don't trust him anymore

I don't think there has been a recall service for the B8s yet - but there has been some workshop actions, which will be made next time the car is in for a Service.

I'm in South Africa, so I suspect this won't work for us, however, we have Euro spec cars here, so if anyone has a link to a Euro site, that might work.

TSB???

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin. It's not of the same magnitude of a recall, but it's something that Audi has said 'this needs to be done to all cars that match it' - i.e., vin #s between X and Y, or whatever else qualifies. It might be that one of their suppliers had some quality control issues with some parts and they just found out about it, or they've gotten enough complaints about a problem that they've decided to pre-emptively fix it for everyone, etc. etc.

I know that when I had my S60R, the Volvo service department wouldn't actually perform any TSB unless there was an actual complaint for a known problem. I guess they considered the TSBs to be lower than a Campaign/Recall so I think that's why they don't allow owners to check for TSBs. It would create a rush of owners to the service department to fix issues that may or may not exist. I don't know if Audi does the same thing with their TSBs as Volvo but it sort of sounds like they do. I am having to eventually go to the Audi service department for an intermit cracking noise when I raise my driver's window. I know there is an owner in Australia that has a similar problem and he stated there was a TSB for the issue. I hope they don't give me any grief.

Well IIRC wasnt there a TSB on lower control arms and on a valve or pump with the steering fluid? (causing a vibration when turning at a stop or parking lot) These two things came from my service guy at Audi.

Depends on your car's build date I believe. I think specific TSBs list what build dates they apply to tho, so you might be able to verify that way.

I think https://erwin.audiusa.com is going to be your best source. Registration is free and you can search TSB by model for free (162 under maint), but the VIN specific search (and actually getting the TSB text/etc) requires a subscription (or at least it did last I checked) - $35 for 1 day, or other (more costly) options are avail...

I plan to do this before my next service visit in Oct, but have not used it yet...

The audiusa link always reports nothing for my car, despite the fact there are several TSB's (that I've had performed) for my car. The name implies recalls which are very different than TSB.
Are others getting TSB's at this link for your cars?

The nhtsa link has quite a few, but apparently not all (63 vs >160 at erwin). Some of the erwin TSB's though appear to be generic - like what oil specification to use/etc that are not of high value and are likely not on nhtsa...

Does anyone know if there are any TSB's for 2012 or if previous year TSB's apply? I've searched and haven't found anything. also entered my VIN at the above link but it didn't bring anything up.
Reason is, I'm taking my car in for 15k service soon and don't really trust my dealership to do a TSB unless i ask and I have steering wheel shutter/vibration at low speeds.
