Has anyone stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, people who bought RP turbos may be staying quiet or being shy because they dont feel like being flamed on here like happens to so many people that open their mouth? Seriosly, I can understand the flaming of some of the dumb, off the wall stuff, but some who ask legitimate questions get put down like they are the lowest form of scum on here at times......I must admit, even if I had installed mine I may have been a little shy to post up any info on them after reading the original comments from people in the threads about these turbos when they first came out........Just my 2 cents......Now I'm sure the sarcastic remarks will begin to fly.

I don't think anyone on here is self-conscious enough to not post if their RP turbos blow. That sounds more like a Honda and eBay turbo situation.

I've been waiting 2+ weeks for my 'rebuild package' appearently taking the slow boat from 034..
Actually, I am told the JE's are on back order. I've thought about canceling and going with those nice coated vast pistons for what $100 more?.

Ive been running mine on a full stage 3 ssp tune for 5000 miles and i am burning oil. Dont know why yet. Checked the ic hoses and they were bone dry. Going to change the pcv valve and breather hose then take off the dp's and check for oil. Could be a seal going. I am hearing a very very faint dentist drill noise, but i am running a dryflow filter so it couldjust be noise from that. Car is still pulling hard but m boost gauge is broken so i dont know how much im boosting. I seem to only be burning oil at low revs and when i come to a stop only, not while boosting. Any insight on why i could be burning oil like this would be very helpfull. Thanks

Id look into a valve issue. I would think you would be smoking upon acceleration if a turbo seal was going. One of my valve seals was leaking, and Im pretty sure there is where my oil was coming from. My K03 were boosting fine. I would get oil under more aggressive downshifts. When I pulled the exhaust manifolds, one of the valves was covered in oil.

just the car back a few hours ago im running apr stg3 on the 93 oct program with the rps and it pulls hard sounds nice and is smooth as butter.only put 65 miles on them so far i took it on backroads then the highway and opened it up a few times its running real good.but only time will tell.

think it is just a leaky valve seal. I dont know. need to drop the heads off at the machine shop to have them checked out, before i put them up for sale. i never did a compression test, unfortunately, so I don't know if I was losing compression in that cylinder. I imagine so.

Got the car up and running last night (01 A6 2.7t Tip)

I put around 100miles on the RP's last night (light driving, low revs)

I need to break the turbos and the 517 TC before harder driving, but so far so good, fitment of the turbos & Inlets was perfect (got them from CTS)

and these guys whistle :) I also had a custom made 2.5" down pipes, and deleted the cats and you can hear them spool up under light throttle

I'll be driving the car every day a little bit to try and put easy high way miles on them before I turn up the boost

Finally got mine all fitted and engine back in a few days ago.... only 10 miles on them so far so need to do some driving but all good so far.

Are people having there car's remapped before unleashing the power of these K04's ? What boost are people running ?

I'm leaving my N75 disconnected untill i can get the fueling done and remap.

I'm Running stock map right now, I have the GIAC X flash, but not running that yet.

I think I'll switch to that map in few hundred miles might run a little lean tho because it is now pushing more air. I'll probably upgrade my fuel pump and FPR at lest when I get some more money together.

Any other ideas? I don't want to go full stage 3 just yet...or pay another $600 for a stage 3- tune

I believe that I saw in another post the 'washyourhands' RP's are working out well? I'd love to hear more on that.
Can't wait to get my pair fitted and going! Still haven't decided on fuel; ASP is local to me but, I am thinking vast at the moment.

Stock Fueling still, the only thing I did was change the fuel filter.

You can tell that it runs out of juice up top, not enough fuel going though.

Other than that they pull really hard.

I've got about 500 miles on mine so far. Been taking it easy. Have a little bit of a boost leak so can't really do much right now. They pull strong so far and I'm still on my old tune.

ive been posting on here about my stg 3.. i have over 3000 miles on them i beat the shit out of it everyday.its full apr stage 3 boosting 22 to 24 psi and it pulls hard no problems at all.the rps are good i see no problems at all with them the cars fast and smooth.no weird boost issues no wastegate issues nothing at all like that.it runs great.any questions let me know but id say get them theyre running just fine on my car.i have full stg 3 just to add that again.
