Awhile back when i had my old B8 i remember i wasnt able to run logs on the car, i had to go and manually pick what i wanted to log before running them. Is anyone else having this issue? I wanted to run logs on the new car but dont want to have to do the same thing. Thanks!

To what type of logs are you referring? The only thing I can think of "logging" are our lap times. I'm curious now because this may be something I am interested in doing myself.

    I'm glad you ask that...

A while back, I made a new post regarding datalogging but none seems to care about it, even though datalogging is the most important part of having a realiable powerful engine and the only way to tell if your chiptuner has done all his job correctly.

For MED17 VCDS still can't datalog groups, only single chanel logs, you can select several ones though.

If I were you, I'd datalog timing retard for all four cylinders, AFR, ignition timing, maf readings, intake temps vs RPM and load.

Let me know where would you like to start and what you want to datalog first and I'll help you out.

This is very helpful information. If I didn't have my ECU flashed and upgraded, how often should I data log this information because I know that our cars are prone to some carbon build-up and thus will start retarding the performance of the engine? Thanks again for the info. I'm going to have to do this so I can have a baseline of where my car is compared to where it would be in a few thousand miles.

I think the VAG cable does intimidate some people and tinting is just so much easier to do (until the amp is wet).
