Question Revo SPS Select with Stage II question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am picking up a SPS Select with maps 6-1-9, 6-4-9 for my Revo tune
My question for you guys is, I have Stage II with an aggresive boost, 91 fuel timing, and performance AFR (9-1-9 i belive).

If I switched back to stock with this select and then put mapping 6-1-9 back on the ECU, will I have any issues? Thanks guys.

    9-1-9 is too agressive imo..

I would never run the fuel over 8 and 6 or 7 is more appropriate if you are running 93+ octane.
Ideally for stage 2 I would run 8-7-8 or 8-6-7.

9-1-9 is WRONG. Boost is waay to high. You are not getting any better performance out of your K03 with a 9 boost, probably just shortening it's life. I would run a 7 on boost for a while, then maybe go with 8 (I run 8, but also live above 6000 ft). Your timing is waaay too low. 1 is retarded. You should be running a 5 or so, I would guess. Fuel will always be at 9, so that's fine.

I only came up with these numbers off of the diagram on Revo's SPS select plus. I very well may be completely wrong assuming I am. I'm not sure what the shop tuned it as all I know is it is aggresive. Probably not to what I was thinking.

So would the 6-4-9 map be reaonable since the Select I am getting isn't repromable. It's not the plus. Or no point?

I didn't know that they sold a half-ass version of the SPS. I thought you could adjust anyway you want. I would go with the 6-4-9 if that is the best option. It'll probably run better for sure than the 9-1-9 for sure.

I completely agree. You will not hurt anything with 6-4-9.

I don't remember all the differences between the switches, but there are two; the Select and the Select Plus. I think Select gives you three preset options; stock mode, performance mode, and anti-theft. The Select Plus has the presets from the Select switch, plus three programmable groups of settings, and you can connect directly to the Revo software with your PC, the switch, and a USB cable.

You cannot just guess the timing and boost settings, you need to LOG THE CAR! Boost setting 9 is crazy, at setting 7 I was hitting over 25psi (off the gauge!) so 9 has to be almost 30psi! Also timing setting 1 is low even for 91 octane. I would bump it up to 2 or 3 and log block 020 to see if your pulling any timing. In Cali im sure its starting to heat up so if your on the stock SMIC you may want to leave it at 2/3 so you wont get much pull. Also, im not 100 percent sure on the B7 but on the B6 software air/fuel setting is not used - meaning it doesnt change anything.

I say start at b6 t2 and LOG! and get a fmic so you can add some timing

It is also dependent on your elevation. I run 8 boost, and barely peak over 20 psi. At sea level, boost 9 is retarded.

Ok to clarrify the confusion, I only assumed what I had tuned based off of page 7 on this pdf.

    http://www.revotechnik.com/products/...uide_V0707.pdf

I was told I had a more aggresive ride so I assumed 9 for Boost, I am running 91 octane so that leaves me to only 1-3, and 9 for the Fuel adjustment since once again I was told I am aggresive/performance. This is all me assuming based off the chart. I am in no way accurate of what the actual mapping on my car right now is. So sorry for the confusion. Haha.

All I was wondering if the 6-4-9 is a map that will run fine on my Stage II in CA. Yes the FMIC and HPFP is eventually going to be put on.
But for what I have right now (without logging and without the exact tune of my car) I see from what you guys are helping me with 6-4-9 should be perfect for my current setup.

    Thanks for the input all.

Can the REVO shop change your preset loadouts on the SPS? Or are you stuck with two you can't use, and one that's alright?

^^They will change them! In the cold months I ran timing 7 boost 8 but now its 85* plus so I went back and had them change it to timing 3 boost 6.

    I still say boost 6 timing 3

I say have them get rid of your 9-1-9 and put something more useful in.

Ok so I think I will just wait until I get the swither and remap it to the 6-4-9. Because I found out the Select is not reprogramable. I need to switch valet/tune quite often. I don't trust people driving me car, but valet is my only option.

Just got the Select in the mail. I'm ready to remap to the 6-4-9. But Stage 2 has the CEL delete for my TP. Will that still be active after changing programs?

I run 7-6-9 usually. I would run 7-4-9 or for you given your lower gas quality

Well the module I have isn't re-progammable. It only has 6-1-9, and 6-4-9. I'm pushing way too much right now anyways, getting way more fuel cuts than I should be (and yes I know about the HPFP, but its a lot more common than other Stage 2 I've been in).

I haven't reprogrammed yet, still at whatever I got when installed (which I found out is not 9-1-9 like I guessed). I just don't want to get the CEL when I switch to 6-4-9, or stock or anything like that.
