    Disable TPMS indicator on dash?

Last year I purchased a separate set of 18" titanium wheels from the classifieds for summer (using the OEM 17" wheels with Blizzaks for winter). When I mounted them a few weeks ago, the yellow TPMS indicator came on on the dash. Today I had some new RE-760's mounted to the 18" wheels, and asked the tech to check the TPMS. He said the wheels did not have the sensors on them.

My question is this. As I don't want to pay to have the tires dismounted and remounted to put in new sensors. Can I let the computer in the car know I don't have sensors and hence get rid of the TPMS warning (until I put the orig. wheels back on come fall)? The owners manual doesn't speak to not using the warning system. Thanks

It can be done, but no dealer will do it for you, I believe, since it has to deal with a safety issue, and they could be held liable.
