For Those with Surging Issues

I took my car in a few weeks ago complaining about surging and the car sticking in second gear. Afterwards there is NO SURGING I know, this is shocking, but true! Here are the notes:

Cause: Electrical Malfunction
1200 Electrical Body Misc
816 WA03 2.22
FC: 247040 002

5679 ECM Software Update, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH Road Tested, No Fault Found, Contacted Tech Line, Opened Case,

Was instructed to update ECM S/W using SVM Action B801A008. Performed Update. Also was instructed to update TCM using Telediagnostics.

Hopefully this helps some of you. The surging was very noticeable previously and now just smooth driving Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

My car sticks in 2nd gear as well. You mentioned that the surging is gone, but does the car still stick in 2nd gear?

Did anyone ever find out if this was upgraded to TSB status?

Our B7 A4 surges as well.Took it in to the stealership and they told us that everyting was within normal parameters.TSB info would be helpful.

Now when u say stick on second gear in lamens term ... Do u just mean that it's just not shifting at all... Or just shifting really late... I still have surging but my 2nd does shift... When I bring it in for my 5k I wanna be able to draw my guns so they can target the issues instead of slapping me around...
