RS4: At the dealer for some warranty work

Just wanted to post up some issues I was having the car.

    - NAV unit would occasionally start route guidance after hitting accept. Firmware update fixed the problem and was updated from newer NAV disk.
    - The entire instrument cluster was replaced. Was making a very faint buzzing sound. New unit and no more buzzing sound
    - Right auxiliary radiator was leaking. Replaced with new unit.
    - Oil change.
    - TSB for battery was performed. They added some type of black epoxy to the battery area. Not sure on the details and could not find the TSB anywhere.
    - TSB for coil packs: Received the Audi letter to have my coil packs replaced. Dealer didn't have the official word from Audi to start the process just yet. Apparently customers are getting letters before specific VIN numbers are opened up to dealers. Kind of strange.

Roger Beasley Audi took care of the car and gave me a B8 A4 loaner. I will say that the I am not impressed with the build materials on the new B8. Makes me appreciate the B7 so much more.

I missed the RS4 and was ready to turn in the A4!!!

Forgot to mention they had another RS4 there for CB issues. An Audi engineer came out from San Diego to look at the car and had the dealer clean the valves. The shop foreman mentioned they did not clean the intake manifold and they typically don't when told to. Also, this engineer updated the ECUs but didn't elaborate with exactly what he did. Even the dealer was left in the dark.

they updated the ECU probably to avoid a CEL from coming on in the future from carbon. that's their "fix" and most likely they don't want people to know that lol..

How significant was the Aux radiator leak? Was it leaking on the ground, or was it alot less apparent than that? Just trying to get an idea of what to keep an eye out for.

Service Advisor mentioned something related to battery leaking but didn't really explain and I didn't ask.

It was pretty minor. I had them check back in December but they could not find it but I could smell the coolant. While in for service I had them check again. I could smell it more but it was consuming so very little. The coolant smells very sweet and you can quickly smell it once the car is parked in the garage fresh from a quick trip around town. Nothing was collecting on the ground.
