My New Exhaust Set-Up

I finally got a video of my new set-up, so I thought I'd share it...Sorry, the camera shakes a bit, and it was starting to get dark, but it's good enough to get an idea of the sound. I decided to go with Milltek catless downpipes, thanks to Bob over at Stratmosphere, and I ended up going with a Labree non-resonated cat-back. And sorry about those stupid bikers half way through the video..kind of messed up part of the drive by.

thanks you guys! and the funny part is, even though I've gone catless, the CEL still hasn't come on, after 200 miles...that's strange because I thought they would have come on by now...oh well.

i feel ya...depending on where I am, I sometimes find it too loud, specially when I try to be discreet (not that having a yellow car helps with being discreet anyways)...but other than that, I love it!

Could you feel a substantial power increase over the stock downpipes? With out a proper tune I'm wondering if deleting the cats would actually hurt performance...but then again, with a sound like that, who really cares?

the whole back pressure=tq bs is just that. bs. exhaust scavenging and efficiency =tq. the additional airflow into the motor because of the exhaust is adjusted for in the ecu. it aims for a target a/f and meets it. gotta love bosch.

you can feel a difference...the car almost seems to breathe better, and rev a little more freely...i still need a tune, then i am sure i will feel an even bigger difference...but like you said, with a sound like that, who cares?! :)

The set up is milltek catless downpipes with a labree non res catback..when i ordered the labree catback, i asked brent to send me a set of connecting pipes..that way, i could cut them to the size i needed so it would fit up nicely to the milltek..it was no big deal, they fit up fine..

Hey beemercer, wish i could! If i still lived in MA..i used to live in the framingham/ashland/natick area, not too far from shrewsbury

lol really? I had to move because of family, but I miss it. My parents got tired of the cold. I still haven't gone back up to visit, but I want to! Well, if you do go somewhere else, South Florida is the spot man! beautiful all year round, plenty to do too!

thanks! :) I got the downpipes from Stratmosphere. We had a mini group buy go on, and Bob got it out to us for 600 shipped per set. Great deal for catless downpipes if you ask me.
