My car is a stage 3 with open element filter and hitachi MAF conversion. Im getting normal readings and then every once and awhile it will read something ridiculously high. Here is part of my 3rd gear log at WOT.

It never used to be like this, I just installed water meth and was logging and it is all over the place at higher RPMs. Could it be bad, NOTHING else is fluctuation like except for timing and fuel injectors DC but they follow the MAF fluctuations. Boost is solid and just pressure tested. Any ideas?

Maf could be going bad. Is there anyone in your area you can swap mafs with and log again to be sure?

Update, this only happens with Meth turned ON. Runs fine off.

How is your meth injection system set up?

your meth kicks in, cools the air dramatically making it contract which causes pressure drop, car reacts by spooling turbos higher to make requested boost which in turn sucks more air in than it normally would. Physics are simple...

Meth is set up as it should be. Ive talked to Prince and its all good. Not sure if my car needs some time driving around to compensate? Its not tuned for meth yet, and this was me immediately logging the car as soon as I installed. I hope that with a tune it would be straightened out but I dont want to run the tune if its going to mess up the car in any way.

That's quite weird. Requested boost is based off of engine load which is based off of TP position as well as MAF values. MAF readings are a simple measure of how much air is flowing through the MAF housing. You shouldn't be getting sudden spikes for millisecond durations, like that.

I've set up and tuned a bunch of cars for meth, and I've never seen that sort of MAF value behaviour as a result of adding a meth injection system...

I fixed this issue today. The hose coming out of my meth pump that feeds the nozzles was barely pushed into the fitting. Thanks guys.
