    Quick question about a part

Guys I posted a thread about this once but it was last year so I'm going to repost I can't find my thread anymore.

My car has a strange problem I am doing MUCH less Kilometers on my car per tank.

I used to be able to do between 550 and 600 km per tank now I'm lucky if I reach 350-400

I changed my timing belt and that is when it started to happen.

My digital gauge that reads how many kilometers I have left seems to be out of whack though it randomly jumps from say 280 km left on normal driving (60km an hour) to say 340 going lets say 20km or 30km more.

I THINK one of my sensors is broken but I'm not sure which one can it be the oxygen sensor??

I also noticed that when the mechanic started my car after the timing belt was put I got a warning that said cylinder 5 misfire. He reset the CEL, I checked a couple of times with my vagcom and I brought it to someone who as a better one than I do and they told me that there is nothing wrong with my cylinder 5.

So I'm thinking it's some kind of sensor?? Has anyone ever had this problem? Has anyone ever fixed this?

I was thinking about replacing the O2 sensor and I checked ECS but they have these models

If it was oxygen sensor, it would show up in vag-com, and you would have check engine light... All I can recommend is to check timing again, it could be off for few degrees after changing timing belt

Do they have any special tools to see if the timing belt is off or do they have to take everything apart again and see if it is off by eye?
Basically I just want to know if I have to be prepared to dish out money for this because if it is the timing belt it is obviously the garages fault and they will fix it for me for free. I'm going to complain until they do, but if I bring it somewhere else would they be able to just plug it to a machine and see if the timing belt is off?

Not sure about the machine... Mabe the old stule strobe will do the trick, connected to hall sender??? But all they have to do is to take valve covers off and check TDC positions and cam's angles

Is this something long? It's not something I would be able to do myself is it?

Ok so I plugged my Max Scan to my car yesterday and did the OBDII link to my car.
    I get these messages.

Power supply terminal 30: voltage too low: p1602 static no define
16537-163 kwp1281 oxygen (lambda) sensor b2s2: response too slow: p0153
    00526-027 kwp1281 brake light switch-F static- , implausible signal
    P0153 Iso9141 02 sensor ckt Slow response (bank 2 sensor 1)

My question is can it be that my O2 sensor is giving me this message as a result of another problem OR is it really my O2 sensor that is busted? (I don't get any CEL on my car but my Max Scan gives me this message)

I was told that sensor one on any bank is the sensor that calculated the richness of the gas and if it incorrectly calculates it I will almost certainly consume more gas than normal.

Anyone know what these messages mean?
