    Ok,my brother got a code so we checked it and it was P1457 looked it up and it was a drivers side EGT. While I had my laptop out I checked my car and got P1458 EGT sensor 2 short to ground. I looked it up and found it to be drivers side Egt. can this be right? Both codes are for drivers side ?

    P1457 = Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 open/short to B+

    P1458 = Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 short to ground

    different short, same side, same solution.
    My WTB List:
    -Sport (all black) shift surround for 6MT
    -Sport (all black) ash tray cover

    just replace the sensor, clear the code, and you should be good to go. If you ever need to use a "real" vagcom, you are free to mine in DC
