southbend fail, tow to shop.(super rant please read) helpQ

ok, so i have a southbend st. 3 clutch matted with a lightweight 12 pd. flywheel that was just installed 4-5 months ago.
total of maybe 6k on the clutch tops and since install had terrible flywheel chatter and was told by the shop owner that this clutch would be perfectly fine for me and not to worry take his word and trust him.
welll i drove the car for a good 3k and actually funny thing is i let my mom drive my car for the break-in( she knows how to drive stick, hates going fast.) and then i drove the car for a little while and a 1k or so the synchos were getting notchy and the gears were grinding on shits and i actually think the clutch plates fused to the flywheel and i have yet to launch the car.
no driving up to my buddies 2 days after it gets back from the body shop the thing goes kaput and i cant put the car in any-gear


im having it towed straight to the shop whom installed it and i cant really find where i should begin with my arguement but one thing i will say is how him giving me the handshake trust me thing, i will destroy his shops reputation... but i believe this is something they should take care of?

sorry for the rant.

oh and this all happens the weekend im trying to go in and have the same shop do my turbo install because honestly ive dropped sooo much cash into this car and just want to finish it while i get the clutch situation out.....

hahahaha i bought the same exact set up from awe!!!! worst choice of my life chatter is unbearable and its been releasing at the top 5k ago ....had it for 10k so far

yeh, im going to get this problem fixed, and i have enough complaints about their products to back it. and the shop owners word that the car would be good, isnt that clutch rated to hold a good 350-400 hp and im at 180 maybe?


i just dont know which way im going to approach the shop

same thing happened to me when my SECOND SB clutch failed. it ran fine for 10k then in a matter of 3 days the gears kept getting notchier and the release point was getting closer and closer to the floor until i couldn't engage any gear. turned out that the throwout bearing compressed. never beat up on the clutch or anything and it just fails and southbend wouldn't do shit for me other than charge me $60 for a new one. assholes.

got a different clutch and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much happier. southbend can eat it

It ain't the shops fault Southbend is garbage, buyer beware, buy nice or buy twice, so on and so forth... you get the idea...
