A little turbo upgrade and other stuff

Well... over the last couple of months I have had a string of issues. The shocks on my car were blown. Replaced them with Bilstein sport shocks. Clutch began to slip so replaced with ecs RA4 stage 1 clutch conversion. Then started to notice giant clouds of blue smoke at warm-up and with no crazy buildup on the spark plugs the culprit must be the turbo. So... got myself a rep. k04 from CTSTurbo.com and a forge tip. Pics of products bellow. Should be on the car by early next week.

i'm kinda leaning toward that turbo as well. I need to do something. i have all supportin mods for a ko4 and a few products short of BT...........but def a bit short on the cash for the BT. My car is no fun to drive with the KO3 in there, so i might do a ko4 to hold me over for a while then go bigger.

Wow. The K04 looks so small! Every time I look at my K03 I just start laughing.

Should be a lot of fun! I have yet to drive a 1.8T with anything other than a K03

I have all the supporting mods so it was an easy choice. I put some miles on my car around town so we will see how long she lasts. I hope to get another 100k before she requires a new one (Knocks on wood).

Turbo was installed this morning before work as well as the TIP. Breaking her in at stock boost and will have her tuned this week. Still don't know if it fixed my smoke issue but should know tomorrow during warm up. The only issue we had was with the hard line that wraps around the stock k03. The bolt holes in the turbo were not threaded. Not a huge deal but a flaw. You can see in the last 2 pics I posted. I will post up pics of the k03 carnage tomorrow.
